Carol is the only person in the United States immune to the virus. While the rest of the world enjoys a blissful, shared consciousness, Carol remains isolated, miserable, and fiercely individualistic. The series follows her struggle to survive in a world of aggressive toxic positivity, where the hive mind will stop at nothing to "fix" her.
