"Sinhabahu" is a 2024 Sri Lankan Sinhalese historical thriller film directed by
Somaratne Dissanayake. The film is based on the legend in the Mahāvaṃsa and
stars Akila Dhanuddara in the titular role. It also features Abhilashi
Santhushki, Yashoda Wimaladharma, and Sajitha Anthony in supporting roles. The
film marks the 11th cinema direction by Somaratne Dissanayake and was
co-produced by Gamini Wickramasinghe and Renuka Balasuriya. Initially, veteran
actor Jackson Anthony was selected for the lead role but was hospitalized
following an accident, leading to his elder son, Akila Dhanuddara, taking over
